Home/FBR notices

Received an FBR notice?

Don't panic. Don't ignore it. Send it to us.

Most notices can be resolved with the right reply at the right time. With audits, assessments and appeals moving to FBR's faceless process and online hearings, we read it, explain it in plain words and tell you your options before anything is filed.

Three things to do

Before you reply.

i.Check the reply date first. Ignoring a notice to produce records now costs Rs 100,000, rising to Rs 300,000 by the third.
ii.Don't reply in a hurry. What you say first is on record, and a misleading statement can cost Rs 500,000 or 100% of the shortfall.
iii.Share it with us. We come back with a first view and a clear quote.

What's new in 2026

Notices and audits go faceless.

The Finance Act 2026 lets FBR run audits, assessments and appeals through a National Faceless Centre, with hearings held online and cases assigned by system rather than by local office. It also introduced an algorithmic settlement mechanism that may offer to settle some disputes. Accepting an offer can close the matter, so it deserves a careful look first.

Replies to notices, audits and assessments

Settlement offers and ADR, assessed before you accept
Appeals before the Commissioner (Appeals) and Appellate Tribunal
